At East Bay Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, we work closely with our patients to guide them through the entire treatment process. We’re happy to answer questions along the way. While every patient’s case is highly individual, here are some of the most common questions we get about our procedure.
Are you an in-network provider with my dental insurance?
If you have a dental plan that allows you to choose your own provider we are happy to send claims on your behalf. However, we are not contracted with any dental plans. For some plans you will pay your co-payment and your insurance carrier will send their payment to our office. Other plans require you to pay for each visit in full. We then submit the claim to your plan and they will reimburse you directly.
What are the post surgery instructions?
You can find our post surgery instructions HERE.
Do I need a referral to your office?
We are happy to see all patients. We will need a current set of x-rays for your examination. We will request those from your general dentist or we can take them for you in our office before Dr. Santiago does your periodontal exam.
Why do you have x-rays?
Dr. Santiago is unable to do a comprehensive examination unless he can see the bone that supports your teeth. The only way for him to see that is by taking x-rays.
What do I do if I need to reach you after hours in case of an emergency after surgery?
We will give you Dr. Santiago's cell phone number at the time of the surgery.
